“ Randomly found this spot last year but was quite difficult to walk in without reservation so reservations are highly recommended...but why you ask? Well put simply great paella made as close to homemade as I have seen in Bay area...they are in the pricey side but well put together and most importantly very tasty and crispy enough. Tried the Iberian paella which is their most popular and I can see why..balanced with chicken and pork but also seafood. There is one salad option which is good along with many traditional tapas and good selecion of wines and Spanish beers. Inside feels like a club house with rich materials and warm lighting and full back wall bar. There is bar seating which is nice for walk ins but with limited seating. Parking is ample on street and is free. Service is limited and thin when place is full and so dont go if you are in a time pinch...but rather a night out...place is on small side inside so large groups should call ahead for accommodations. Whether legal or not Service charges are automatically added to tab at about 20 so be prepared in case you are not accustomed yo this charge. Overall good place to try for food and ambiance in Belmont. ”
“ This hidden gem is my new favorite Spanish restaurant. We went here for a friends birthday dinner, and I will be coming back! They have a great selection of traditional and very delicious Tapas, as well as a phenomenal Paella. And make sure to save room for dessert because their deserts are out of this world. The ambience was also very nice. Its upscale, but not overly formal. As far as prices go, its certainly a special occasion sort of bill, but for the quality and quantity of food it is right on track. ”

It was filled with fresh, great ingredients like scallops, shrimps, sausage, squid, green bean, tomato, beans every bite was a delight!! But its pricey 40 20 service charge 10 tax. And the wait was half an hour, but I guess because its prepared carefully The hazelnut praline dessert had crunchy golden bits of sweet delicious goodness. So good. ”

Weve tried a few paellas around the bay and this was easily the best Zuzu in Napa was excellent as well. It reminded me of some of the best meals weve had in Europe, and Im just waiting for some family to visit to have an excuse to go back. ”

Located on a busy stretch of El Camino Real in the heart of Belmont, you might drive by without realizing what youre passinga small portal into oldworld Spanish charm. The ambience is that of a classic Southern European restaurant, with warm decor, comfortable chairs, and an intimate layout that transforms this small space into a cozy escape from the Bay Area. Chef Jose Luis brings something special with his authentic Spanish cuisine, infused with creative touches that make the experience both genuine and distinctive. The tapas were fantastic, and the standouts for me were the gambas al ajillo garlic prawns and the trumpet mushroomsboth bursting with flavor and GARLIC! We chose the large seafood paella, which takes 2040 minutes and was perfectly cooked rice al dente, rich and savory, with fresh seafood youd expect only at toptier Spanish restaurants. Highly recommendedwell definitely be coming back! ”

Chef Jose Luis runs a tight ship with loyal employees Ive not seen any turnover among the wait staff in the last 5 yrs. The menu is always changing, keeping the offerings fresh while retaining his mainstays, like the delicious paellas. ”
